Panacousticon

The sound sculpture Panacousticon is a large satin aluminum dodecahedron loudspeaker, a sculptural variation of an omnidirectional sound device commonly used in room acoustical measurements. It plays a chord of sine waves in different pitches and octaves with slight variations over time to evenly fill the room with sound waves.
The audience is invited to acoustically explore the room: despite the feeling of a monolithic soundscape, it is possible to perceive, by walking around the sculpture, overtones, harmonic beats and thus interact with the reflections of the waves in the room listening to the slight acoustics modulations.
